Bin collection moved to Thursday this week

Because of the bank holiday, bins on Evelyn Way and Lytton Gardens will be collected on Thursday instead of Wednesday.

Van parked across our dropped kerb

It's been there since last night, so I can't get the car out. If it belongs to one of your visitors, could you ask them to move it? Thanks.

Anyone know a good window cleaner?

Ours has just retired after twenty years. Would rather use someone a neighbour can vouch for.

Thank you to whoever brought our bins in

We were away all week and came back to find them tucked by the gate. Very kind, whoever you are.

How joining works

It takes a couple of minutes, and you only do it once.

  1. Tell us where you live

Pick your street and house number, then add your name and email.

  2. A neighbour checks it

Someone who runs the site makes sure you live here. This usually takes a day or two.

  3. You're in

We'll email you once you're approved. Log in, have a read and say hello.

Questions you might have

If yours isn't here, ask any of the neighbours who run the site.

Does it cost anything?

No. It's free for every household on Evelyn Way and Lytton Gardens, and there are no adverts.

Who can see my details?

Only approved neighbours can see anything inside the site. The admins who approve you see your address. The directory only shows what you choose, and it's off until you switch it on.

Why do you need my house number?

So a neighbour who runs the site can check you live on one of our two streets. Nobody else sees it unless you choose to add it to the directory.

I'm not very good with computers. Can I still join?

Yes. The site is kept simple, with big text and buttons, and it works on a phone. If you get stuck, ask a neighbour or one of the admins to help you set it up.

Who runs the site?

Neighbours. It was set up by Sandy, a neighbour, and a few others help out as admins.

Is this run by the police or the council?

No. It's run by neighbours, for neighbours, and isn't connected to the council or the police. In an emergency always call 999, or 101 for anything that isn't urgent.
